Northeast Scholarship Test for Under Graduates

NEST UG
Students who have appeared for the Class 12 board examinations from any recognized board are eligible to apply. This includes students from all streams such as Humanities, Commerce, Science (both PCB and PCM), Information Technology, Retail, and Tourism.
Registration: Interested candidates can register online or at an authorized center. A small registration fee is usually required.
Examination Format: The test is held once a year in a multiple-choice (MCQ) format with no negative marking.
Test Mode: Conducted in offline/written format

About the Program
Scholarship Details
Based on the performance in the NEST exam, students can qualify for scholarship discounts of up to 50% on tuition fees for undergraduate programs.
- The scholarship is applicable only on tuition fees, not on other expenses like hostel, books, or miscellaneous charges.
- The exact percentage of scholarship is merit-based, determined by the student’s score in the NEST.

The Accelerator has built a strong network of empanelled and reputed colleges across India. These institutions are selected based on their:

Note: Students who receive scholarships through NEST can study at any partner college of their choice. Streams include Medical, Paramedical, Engineering, Management, Sciences, Humanities, Commerce, and Creative Arts.

How Scholarships from Colleges/Universities
As a part of the formal process and to ensure transparency and authenticity, every student who qualifies for a scholarship through their performance in the Northeast Scholarship Test (NEST) will receive a Letter of Intent (LOI) from the chosen college.
Official Documentation
The LOI is issued on the college’s official letterhead, duly signed and stamped by an authorized representative of the institution.
Scholarship Confirmation
It clearly mentions the percentage of scholarship awarded, which is directly based on the student’s performance in the NEST examination.
Student Details
Includes the student’s name, NEST roll number, and course/stream in which admission is being sought.
Terms of the Scholarship
Specifies that the scholarship amount applies towards tuition fees only and outlines any conditions regarding academic performance or conduct (if applicable).
Verification
The document serves as proof and commitment from the college, and can be used by students and their families for financial planning and verification purposes.
